My husband, John, and I, are passionate about family, freedom and the power of the open space, time with those you love, animals and nature. We love creating lifelong and life-changing memories, and helping others do the same.

I remember when I threw an impromptu surprise birthday party for my best friend at what is now Wimberley Valley Lodge. We cooked together and I made up a silly scavenger hunt in the field on notecards with clues about her life that we all had to find.

We danced and snuggled on the couch and laughed till our sides hurt. We played board games. We enjoyed some wine at sunset and great food. Some guests slept in. Some woke up early and sat together on the porch for morning coffee. No rules or agenda. Yet somehow everything just flowed. And everyone brought a piece of themselves to the weekend so it didn't feel like work for anyone.

It was a time to relax and play and savor the moments. We were reminded of the unexpected magic that happens when there is the simple luxury of open space.

Everyone left feeling more connected and more restored. They were able to just be. To be a kid again. To be outside and enjoy the simple pleasures of life with the ones they loved.

The energy of the space and that weekend lingered, and became a bond, even when we were apart. It made me realize that intention and space with the people you care about, and the beauty of nature itself, is a recipe for simple magic. It doesn't have to be complicated. Having a getaway space that feels like home, where you can bring together the people you love, makes it so much easier. That's when I knew we had to create Wimberley Valley Lodge and John agreed.

Now, we support other families and friends, and even businesses, who value their time, freedom and relationships. We strive to keep things intentional, intuitive and simple so guests can spend time creating memorable moments they love.
